I'm Andrea. Five years ago, I was sick, struggling to control my Autoimmune Disorders, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Pain and Chronic Fatigue. I knew that exercise was necessary for my health and I also knew it could decrease my pain, but I didn't know where to start.
I tried everything- yoga, running, spinning, weights- but every time I would work out, I would enter a cycle- I would feel great for a few days then get hit with a blast of pain, exhaustion, and incredible discomfort. Sometimes this feeling would stay with me for weeks! I searched everywhere for an expert who knew how to handle my body's needs, but my search came up empty. So, I decided to become the expert I was looking for- a certified Personal Trainer and a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.
With my newfound knowledge, I developed an exercise, food and lifestyle modification program for myself specifically designed to build strength while limiting the effects of my Autoimmune disorders, reduce my flare-ups, increase my energy, and decrease my pain.
I developed this program to change my own life. However, as I looked around, I saw others struggling with problems similar to my own, so I adapted my program for their needs. It has been extremely successful with my one-on-one clients (check out their testimonials), and as they felt better, their stories encouraged me to share this program with the world. This is how Autoimmune Strong was born.
